The Afternoon of a Faun (2017/2022)

The Afternoon of a Faun reimagines Claude Debussy's famous ballet score Prélude à l'après-midi d'un faune (originally choreographed by Vaslav Nijinsky for Sergei Diaghilev's Ballets Russes in 1912) for eight dancers. The work, with costumes by Andrew Jordan, was commissioned by Interlochen Arts Academy and premièred there from March 3rd-4th, 2017. The New York première of the work, with costume designs by Andrew Jordan and lighting by Joe Levasseur, was commissioned by the Joyce Theater and took place there from June 28th-July 3rd, 2022.
