Jeux (2023)


Jeux (French for “Games”), set to Claude Debussy’s eponymous 1912 poème dansé, is a doubled queer reimagining of Nijinsky’s original 1913 ballet for one man and two women who meet and tryst on a tennis lawn chasing after a stray ball. The work, featuring costume designs by Reid & Harriet Design and Andrew Jordan with sound design by Tei Blow and lighting by Joe Levasseur was commissioned by Baryshnikov Arts and premièred on October 10th, 2023 in the Jerome Robbins Theater at Bartshnikov Arts.
