8 Bagatelles (2026)

8 Bagatelles, set to excerpts from Bella Bartók’s piano suite, 14 Bagatelles, Op. 6, is a modular suite of abstract dance vignettes for 8 dancers loosely evoking various states of natural “disaster” or “plight” befalling the human race over time on our planet - mostly and ultimately self-induced. The work, which premièred on April 28th, 2026 in the Bessie Shönberg Theater at Sarah Lawrence College, featured live pianist Martin Goldray, costumes designed by Kate Berger and lighting by Benjamin Demarest.
