For my first season at the Joyce Theater, I will present my own versions of beloved legendary Ballet Russes works “The Afternoon of a Faun" and “Les Sylphides" as well as excerpts from other works in my ongoing series 'Queering' the Canon: Reimagining the Ballets Russes. The New York premières, starring New York City Ballet principal dancer Taylor Stanley among a cast of acclaimed contemporary dancers, will feature costume designs by Andrew Jordan and lighting by Joe Levasseur.
