After he graduated from SUNY Purchase, Alan Good danced with the Merce Cunningham Dance Company and taught at its Studio between 1979 and 1994. He currently teaches technique at the Trust and repertory (Cunningham's Torse) in a University of Michigan master class this December. Alan danced with Wally Cardona Quartet from 1998 - 1999 and in projects with the Martha Graham Company, Pauline Koner, Kenneth King, Tere O'Connor, Marjorie Gamso, Vicky Shick, Sally Silvers, Elke Rindfleish, Rita Burham, Linda Seifert, and Sasha Waltz. Recently he performed in Liz Magic Laser's The Digital Face, Pam Tanowitz's the story progresses... and with MCDC alum Ellen Cornfield in her Small Stages. He presented his own choreography since 1983, and as AlanGoodDance between 2000 and 2008.
