Kindra Windish began dancing in her parents' backyard. After graduating from the backyard and also the University of Oregon she moved to New York. While in New York, Kindra earned her Masters degree in dance education from New York University. In New York she danced with such choreographers as Homer Avila, Douglas Dunn, Rebecca Laizer, Kriota Willberg, and Christiopher Williams. Kindra also had the opportunity to present work in New York at LaMama, Dixon Place, One Arm Red, Brooklyn Arts Exchange, White Wave Festival, and Cool New York Festival. In Los Angeles she has presented work at the Morgan Wixson Theatre, Santa Monica College, and the Electric Lodge. Kindra recently moved back to LA with her trumpet blowin′ husband and their little munchkin. She is currently teaching 7th and 8th grade dance at Brentwood school and is dancing for Holly Johnston′s Ledges and Bones Dance Project.
