Vicky Shick has been involved in the NY dance commmunity since the late 70's as a performer, choreographer and teacher. She was a member of the Trisha Brown Company for six years and has also worked and collaborated with many other choreographers, visual artists and composers. She is a recipient of two "Bessie" Awards and a 2006 Foundation for Contemporary Arts grant. Her work has been presented by Dance Theatre Workshop, Danspace Project, the Kitchen, Movement Research at Judson Church and P.S.122 among others. For the past 10 years, she has worked with visual artist, Barbara Kilpatrick. Shick regularly teaches in New York City and Europe, including Budapest, her home town. She had the privilege of working and performing with Christopher Williams in Ursula and the 11,000 Virgins.
