Edward Rice, originally from the suburbs of Chicago holds a B.S. and an M.F.A in Dance Performance from Illinois State University and the University of Iowa, respectively.  He has performed with Jennifer Kayle + Company, The Brian Brooks Moving Company, Stone Depot Dance Lab, Jody Oberfelder Dance Projects, Amber Sloan, Elizabeth Dishman, Laura Peterson Choreography, Benn Rasmussen′s Ardent August, Christopher Williams, Heidi Henderson's Elephant Jane and Alexandra Beller/Dances.  He performed in Punchdrunk's Sleep No More for a year.  He has recently started working with Third Rail Projects on their a number of their projects including  the critically acclaimed and 2013 Bessie Award winning Then She Fell.  He has taught Technique and Improvisation throughout the Mid-West, as well as Dance New Amsterdam (NYC), the New School, The International Dance Festival in Bytom, Poland and The Open Look Festival in St. Petersburg, Russia.  His choreography has received honors at American College Dance Festival Association Conferences and has been performed throughout the Mid-West.  In New York, his work has been presented at Dixon Place and as part of Synethesia by Electric Pear Productions.  In his other life he is a Producer of RoofTop Dance, the Company Manager for Alexandra Beller/Dances, and is working with A.O.
